Thread: Tired V8

My 3.5l Discovery engine is getting pretty tired. A couple of questions:

Where can I source a quality replacement reconditioned long engine?

Is a 3.9 an option?

Cost?

If a 3.9 is ok, will the 3.5 ancilliaries and injection system fit straight on?

That will do. I feel tired already even thinking about replacing the engine!!

Yep 3.9 is probably your best option,Unless you want a project to fill some time.If you get a 3.9 you can drop it straight in and all the ancillaries are compatable(others will give more detailed info here).Check it and fix any oil leaks before it goes in(this might not be possable it is a landrover).Should be able to pick one up for about a grand i reckon.Hope this helps
