My rationale is that a matching second hand pair are probably just as sunken - and a nice new base should last another 10 years. But yes, you're quite right!
Only 2 weeks ago a forum member gave away a pair of grey D1 buckets (which i now have ) of which the seat squabs are near perfect, were going into my rangie but they might just go nicely in my 1958 FC Holden sedan which just so happens to have a grey interior
