Fan pulley bolt pitch - 300tdi

    Hi,
I am after the pitch of the bolts on the fan pulley on a 300tdi Disco.
I tried cracking the viscous fan the other day and it would not budge no matter how hard I smacked it :-) (clock wise).

    Thanks,

    Lucas

The four little bolts are normal RH thread - lefty loosey righty tighty. The hub nut you got correct, but it can be stroppy. You may have to resort to taking the belt off and using something like a chain vise to hold the pulley.

Leave the belt on, this stops the pulley turning. Use a long piece of steel rod approx 10 mm x 300 mm long, use the rod as a punch on the corner of the nut and give it a few sharp hits with a hammer, this will undo it.
