Thought of that, but backyard fires have long been illegal..

There are some eco-nutters in the neighbours somewhere. Got anonymously dobbed into council once for taking a tree down - anf then council gives me a hard time becuase of the delay in their permit approval process! But that's another story.

I burnt a stump out recently. Fortunately the neighbours are too far away to be an issue.

It burnt for 10 days and through 3" of rain - the fire chased out all the major roots underground.

Now theres a big hole to deal with...........

Broke my Plasma rope with the bob cat saga.
Serves me right though as we resorted to trying to use it like a snatch strap. Almost no back lash bot when it broke I went sideways a metre and back 5 to 10 taking out a rose bush.

backyard fires are one thing, but surely a spitroast cooked over the open coals would be ok? or maybe a kiwi style hangi? H?ngi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

invite the eco warrior neighbours over for a meal and tell em at the end of the night
