Mine is the bellows type and no I haven't had a look inside. I know it is fully extended but don't know if they are supposed to be like that. I can't bring myself to replace the pipe due to the cost and the uncertainty of it fixing the problem. I had looked on the net for another bellows type without success. A wire one is something I had not considered but its now on the to-do list. Thanks for the advice.

Interesting...... currently have a straight through factory 2.5" exhaust on my '99 D2, but fitting the 2.5" muffler remains on my list. Mainly to try and gain a bit more torque lower down and also to knock the edge of the sound as I have no muffler or resonator on mine.

Would have happened a lot sooner had the vortex site got back to me to explain why it wont accept my credit card

Emailed and phoned but to no avail...........maybe he didn't want to sell me one

Good to hear it works though.

and for baz...
450deg at cruise on freeway 110kph
and 200ish round town at 60kph.

from my past temps ive dropped 20-40deg round town and about 50-60deg on the open road.
