i only ask because when i snapped a rear axle and front cv in one go i had to be winched up a verticle rock ledge. i thought the a straight winch would have done it but we ended up using a tripple line pull to get me up.
so im trying to work out the load requirement for situations like that if i were to have my trailer on.

    cheers phil

I'm guessing that the angle of the winch line wasn't lifting your vehicle vertically, but probably at an angle that resulted in a component of the force pulling you into the ledge.

This situation is not handled very well.

yes that was correct, it was handled better after the 2nd snatch block was used

    BONUS!!

During another spate of post lunch boredom I got talking to a friend of mine in the geek squad. I showed him the file and he did this to it. He made it into a stand alone executable so you don't need Excel to use it! Any Windose based disputer should be able to run it including PDAs etc.

So you can now have even more fun.
