    oh yeah

I sprayed Hylomar300 on both sides of Tin Gasket and allowed to dry for few minutes ,then placed them on the Block ,

am I to assume the side with "TOP" stamped on goes on Top ?

ok , so do I gently torque down all the Bolts first by hand including the Rocker Arm and then Torque everything down to spec ?????

or Torque all head bolts torqued down first prior to fitament of the rocker arms ?

    Head bolts first, then rockers.

Make sure you do them in the correct order and in the correct stages.

    okay guys ;

looking at the Rave CD and I can see there is 3 rows of head bolts

    Torque settings
    -----------------

    Outer Row = 60 NM
    Centre Row = 90NM
    Inner Row = 90NM

    Long Bolts 1 3 5
    Medium Bolts 2 4 6 7 8 9 10
    Short Bolts 11 12 13 14

    ???????

Edit: Is There supposed to be an earth cable that bolts on the LHS head?

    some progress Pics

Khos , I have Pmd you.Remember not to tighten the outer short bolts to the specified torque, only to say 30 Nm.
Remember to oil the bolts or use the sealant I recommended.
Yes there should be an earth cable that bolts to the back of the LH head. AFAIR there is a stud with a nut on it. Do it now as it is a bugger later. ask me how I know!LOL.

    Regards Philip A

    Thanks for your PM philip.

Re: outer bolts , it may be a ittle late , I've already Torqued them down to 60nm.....

I carefully applied applied a fine film of oil to each bolt thread using a Clean small brush ,wasn't sure if I torqued all head bolts down correctly as it's first time I'm using a Torque wrench , All I can hear is a Click and that's it , I rechecked and the click is stil present

it was easier for me to work with ft-lb than Nm so I used a converter .

Back them off a bit. The factory torque setting can 'cock' the head.
