Well, i have had a better look, havent pulled anything off yet but the motor is now turning freely but with a severe loss of compression, well from what i can tell. As the engine turns over you can hear a popping noise every few cranks, still no fluid leaking externally and the oil level on the dipstick has dropped about 5mm.
As i said above nothing was expelled from the exhaust at all, now plume of smoke or steam or anything. There is a bit of a soot build up at the top of the exhaust but nothing major, it has been pumping a little bit more smoke out the back since the Bruce Davis tweeked injector pump went in.
Still no idea what the go it.
I was looking at this page on Marks Adaptors and if i read correctly is are these kits only suitable for disco's and rangies fitted with V8 petrol engines and not Tdi's?
