    $54!!!!!!!!!! crikey, STEALERSHIP!!!!!????
    Karcraft in Sydney has them a hell of a lot cheaper. And they are the attached set ones so you only need to hang them from the studs on each side and fit 3 at one time. And they are not cheap aftermarket ones either

    No, I didn't misquote you at all, Harry.

    Sometimes I read things differently to what the poster intended. For example this one on the Two Wheels forum:

    Did you mean:

    "This guy is dead, right?" (this is a question about the guy, i.e., Gonzo- also note the added comma);

    or

    "This guy is dead right!" (this is a statement about the guy - now note the exclamation mark, not a question mark);

    or

    "This, guys, is dead right!" (this is a statement to all of us reading it - note the additional commas).

    They mean entirely different things! Which did you mean 'cos I'm sure Gonzo isn't dead.

    whats is your problem?

    if I lived in sid in e
    I would buy my parts there--

    If I had a week to wait for freight from interstate, i would buy parts from interstate,(overnight you say?
    thats 3 days at least PLUS freight costs)

    I believe I was recommended to go genuine,,,

    and luckily for me, the ONLY LR part supplier within 100 kays is just down the road,,

    under the big LANDROVER sign,,,

    I had both manifolds replaced on mine by a LR specialist in Perth and the young chappie used a liquid sealant with no gaskets. I was a bit dubious when I saw it but 1 year later it is still working well with no leaks; it looks like Blue Maxx but it may be something else,

    Instead of creating a new thread I'll revive one.
    On a D1 v8 what way does the down pipe gaskets go on? 1 side is smooth the other is lipped. Is it worth manisealing them also?

    1. I don't think it matters.

    2. Maniseal on everything.

    Thanks mate, the old gasket had some life left so I followed that and gooped it all up. I had a high tensile bolt as a stud which I bloody snapped off. Gotta finish drilling it out tommorow couldn't find a decent bit...2 bolts has quietened it down though.
    Cheers Jim
