    If you do change then use the 4.11 gearsets, not the 4.1's. They are a different gear tooth number combination and produce a stronger gear. I'm pretty sure that all of the broken rover gears that I have seen were 4.1. Some people say the 4.1 is strong because they haven't broken them... and then there are those that break them

    It was a 91 200 TDi 90.

    The ratios were 4.7 Kam ring and pinions, Standard 3.5 on the right and 4.7 on the left.

    The off set of the rims was the same as sunriser rims.But mine were black modulars

    I just had a look at the ashcrofts transmissions site and by the looks i can keep the same bearings. with the tyre issues i was lookin at going to 15" sunraisiers just to save a bit on tyres. not sure what degree of offset they are but.

    how did you go puting the locker in with the 4.7's? any major problems?

    No problems at all. But if i were you i would go for the 4.1 , just they will be a better gearing for you .

    yeah i think that would be the go. how wide a tyre did you run on your ninety? i get the impression that 12.5inch wide tyres that seem to get thrown on alot of hiluxs and the like are too wide even in 33's?

    They were simex extreme 35, 10.50's x 16
