    Transfer case interchange ability

Would a transfer case out of a 95 Disco with a manual transmission mate to a 02 Automatic?

Yep if ya use the spud shaft that the auto has in its T case are you wanting to convert a non CDL D2 to CDL if so ya can just use the bits in the early case into your current case then you need the shift lever

Lokka, is that meaning the LT230's input shaft is different between the manual and auto....

implication being that if I wanted to fit a Defender TC to a ZF then I'd also have to change the input shaft?
    Cheers

Yep theres a spud shaft that goes on the back of the ZF shaft which then fits into the LT230 im suprised no one else has said anything about it yet tho if the ZF you have is from a rover which had a LT230 on it then you should have the spud shaft allredy fitted and yep the defer LT230 should just bolt up

Cool, thanks for this. So the spud shaft is just a short shaft that joins the ZF to the LT230 rather than the input shaft as such. Does the manual also have one of these to suit?
    Cheers

I spoke to Ritter Automotive yesterday and they said a transfercase from a manual would bolt up to an automatic. I contacted LRA as well for a 2nd opinion but Andrew is away on leave for another week, may chase it up with him at a later date.
