S1 Discovery - Brake pedal adjustment

    Hi all,

I just got my disco back from getting a new brake booster and the pedal is now significantly further towards the floor than before, so much so that the brake lights do not turn off - I've adjusted the switch all the way out and it still misses slightly...

Is there a way of adjusting the pedal position? Looking through Haynes, I couldn't find anything on it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Take it back and get whoever did the booster to fix it.

No excuse for poor workmanship - they need to know it otherwise someone else will suffer too.

I sorted it out! With a slightly more bright torch I saw that on the shaft of the pedal itself there are 2 holes that the pin connecting the pedal to the pushrod can go through, it was a simple matter of putting it through the second hole instead and it brought it back out a centimetre or so to where it always was before.

I'll let the mechanic know on the weekend when I see him cos I know him quite well, and of all the mechanics I've ever been too, I doubt he'd know the meaning of poor workmanship, but I'll let him have it nonetheless
