    300tdi going ape !!

    hi guys just a quickie any thoughts the landy has decided to act up ....starts all good but the other day it went mental like i had my foot to the floor and again today i just pulled away and it was roaring doing heaps of rpm's touch the pedal and it stops all normal ...is it the accelerator sticking ?? or is it like the 200's about to go bang ??? i would like to pray at this junctor

    I had this problem.

    Turned out to be the rubber floor matt had slipped up under the little bolt you tighten to adjust your accelerator, and was catching and holding the pedal on full throttle.

    I might have read your post wrong but this is what happened to me

    Scared the hell out of me when it happened

    I just got the stanley knife and cut a little bit more out of the notch to accomodate the pedal

    Yep, could well be the floor mat.

    The TDi is a simple donk... If it isn't the floor mat, it's probably going to be the throttle cable or linkage on top of the injector pump.

    thank bejezzus o'reily for that .....but have no fear jordan rover tech already had the solution without looking at it and it will cost me over a grand lol...
    it's my injector pump they sure are good ....will report back tomorrow after making friends with MR STANLEY i thought it was the lack of lube on the injector pump or the spring under the peddle thanks guys
