that it will do, fuel economy wont go up too much. worst ive had towing 3+ ton was 15.5l/100 at 110kph over 1600k's. i average 13l/100 real world figures.
and thats in a 90 brick that revs excessivly at 100 unlike a D2.

    cheers phil

A chipped D2 will tow 2.5t easy as long as you don't go to big in the tyres, go over 31" in tyre size and it will struggle.

Tombie suggested figures like 150Kw and 380Nm - but its sooooo smooth and just pulls from pressing the GO pedal. Not like some chips I have heard about with the torque just hits you like a slab. Could not be any happier

I will be also installing a TRT EGR removal kit and silicon hoses soon.

Needs a lift and new dampeners and some BFG AT tyres

But really impressed with it. Especially the new chip

Most owners - Once they stop 'enjoying' the new found power.....

Tend to find either a slight improvement or no change in their consumption.

The smoother acceleration often produces a lower consumption rate...

(Disclaimer: Discowhite doesnt count - He never seems to have calmed his 'enjoyment of the power' down!!!!!!!)

That's about right Mark, our camper is 1.3t to 1.5t and when towing get around the 13/100k to 17/100k with our current setup, 32s, drawers roof rack and so on, depending on the country we travel, 13 in flat country, 17 in hilly country.

Hills play a big part in fuel economy, more hills, less economy.

I think the reason Phils 90 gets good economy, is weight, the 90 is 500kg lighter and his tyre size is smaller compared to a Disco, running 32s in a Disco is 3" taller over standard, that alone puts alot more drag on the car, whereas Phills 90 is only 1" over standard, this actually gives better gearing to a Fender and corrects the speedo too.
