 I put most electronic failures down to poor maintenance of electrical components, everyone changes there oils and filters, checks bushes and unis and other mechanical parts, BUT, do you clean and check your electrical gear and I'm talking batteries here too, as most are (so called maintenance free), do you check all your connection for fraying exposed wire, loose connection, OIL IN THE HARNESS
I'll bet you don't and today it's even more important because there's more of it too check.
