SupporterIf you want to buy Aussie then the Dynotec PC 216 is reportedly very good.
And so too is the adjustable Rollmaster steel timing gear set, and cheaper than a Piper - you can buy it from your local speed shop. I've got one of these in my 4.6 SD1 advanced 3 degrees with a Crane 218 cam and it has torque to make your nose bleed.
Who...... Me??????
Andrew ...
Have you picked a cam, yet??
Not yet. As much as I want to go for the RP4, cant really justify the landed cost of a kit and price difference on its own compared to what I can get around town from my contacts, but none of these are specifically designed as the RP4 is so I am coming back to square one
I may just look at the cam only and get everything else locally.
On eBay now deliberating.......

SupporterYes you could do that and fit the excellent Rollmaster timing gears and local lifters.
I'd be inclined to go for the RPI (Piper) Torquemaster rather than the RP4, as it has a little more go but is still quite mild mannered at idle for an auto. There's lots of details on RPIs website. Some people who have fitted the RP4 claim that it doesn't seem to provide much more urge than the standard 3.9 cam.
that would be--- disappointing.
