I'd be inclined to go for the RPI (Piper) Torquemaster rather than the RP4, as it has a little more go but is still quite mild mannered at idle for an auto. There's lots of details on RPIs website. Some people who have fitted the RP4 claim that it doesn't seem to provide much more urge than the standard 3.9 cam.
That's basically what the guy said in his email to me if you haven't done headwork. He actually said it would be better putting in a STD cam.
Might have a closer look at the Cyclone and Wade options also. Sometimes I do wonder if the RPI site more **** than glitter and just charging for the glitter....

Had a bit of a Google-a-thon last night and found a link to Crow Cams Rover catalogue. CROW CAMS ROVER CATALOGUE part number 370771.

Have compared this to the Torquemaster from RPi but I am wondering how its suited to an auto trannie compared to the Torquemaster.

Have also sent a message to TRS to get the specs on the Crane cams they have.

PDF files for Crow, Piper and RPi attached.

    Cheers

    Andrew.

Pointless without head mods and chipping. Anything with a 270 duration and above needs other mods to make it work correctly.
As Traco and the email I got from Chris @ RPi, unless these mods are done, the V8BP270i and the RP4 both wont respond without additional massaging. Plus with only a low comp engine as opposed to a 9.35:1, none of the Hp figures will be accurate anyway.

Found the email from RPI...... apologise for his bad spelling...
Sorry we don't have a dealer in Australia but shipping to you is not such a big problem plus we can
offer you all the upgrade info you require.

If you are nit re-chipping to our Optimax ECU upgrade than even a stock cam is restricted by 15% thus the cam upgrade you need will not be complete appropriate stand alone without chipping and I which case I suggest you opt for a stock cam replacement

Please also take a look into Magnecore wires that you can buy much cheaper locally I think (Have already done this)

    Kind regards
    Chris

If you need info ron chipping please check out our UK ebay shop or web site Wizard etc.

You can always call us on int +44 1603 891209

    Kind regards
    Chris
    Cheers

I hear what your saying .... when mentioning the Cam ... V8BP270i ... I had in mind about the tuned resistors and the Oxy sensors that you have been thinking about ....

Won't make any difference as these are tuning measures.
Changing the cam will change all the fuelling requirements.

Just spoke to Phil at TRS. they do the dynotec PC216 in a kit for $500 and a TPS (sec hand) for $40 but I'm not totally sold on Dynotec. Bit worried as they display it on the website as a Crane cam.

Did I mention how much I love using my iPhone at work....

If JC seems happy then maybe it's a good option. Have just heard a few things on the grapevine a out Dynotec being too soft.
Might just order cam, chain kit and TPS and get lifters etc from Rovacraft locally.
