Some time ago there were threads about possible TD5 oil pump chain failure due to too thick engine oil when cold.
I cant **** it.
Could some one put me in the correct direction please.

Rudolf...your D2 is in the right time frame (build date wise) for it to throw the oil pump bolt....get it checked and loctited if necessary for peace of mind. A new TD5 motor will cost you .... well let's just say there isn't a lot of change after $20K..... An inspection of your oil pump bolt...maybe a few hunjee if you can't do it yourself...

Look at reply 97 & 100 but only when realy cold.
Typically what could be found around our Drakenberg area and Lesotho during winter.
