Fresh or salt?

Even if fresh over time all of the electrical connections will corrode.

I have a friend who is an insurance adjuster who will write off any modern car with water damage over the dash.

So your problem could be anywhere in the wiring loom.

Yeah i know......I just tested the compression and its down to 60 in all eight cylinders. Back to the mechanic where the engine was fitted, its only 12 months old. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Check your gauge on another vehicle ?

Squirt some oil in each hole and spin it over then check the compression again .

It will likely come up alot and may even start .

For whatever reason it wouldn`t start it is most probable the low compression will be from fuel washing the bores in your attempts to start it .

It is unlikley that you will get such even low compressions from both banks and all cylinders from a mechanical fault as long as it is getting enough air .
eg . check the aircleaner/intake for blockages , a rags left behind a small animal ?
