Locked out of Disco 2 (Flat battery, how do I open the bonnet)

I parked my Disco last night and locked it however I had the bonnet up all night. I shut the bonnet in the morning.
I then went to unlock and no response with the remote or the key.

I think it has a flat battery, how to I open the Bonnet?

Does anyone know what the problem is?
    Thanks Ben.

Doesn't your bonnet have the alarm switch fitted - front left side from memory.

Check the battery voltage is up near 12V. From memory below 11.5V can give problems.

Just realised, that's going to be hard with the bonnet closed! Have you tried the EKA in the driver's lock?

Not sure what the EKA is, I brought the Disco at auction and have no codes.
    Cheers Ben.

    Hi,
can you get inside the car?
Will putting 12V back down the cigarette lighter socket work, some 'dinky' little emergency kits have 2 plugs wired together and use this to save getting near the dirty bits.
    cheers

    Door

I cant imagine that you cant open a vehicle door without power ( I could be wrong). But I reckon you should be able to do. Try the rear door if its a wagon. Also try wriggling the key in the lock it may be a bit tight. Good luck

I suspect the doors have deadlocked (locked using the fob). There's also no rear door keyhole on a D2 just the one on the driver's door

Winch is a good point as you may be able to undo the cables and hook a battery. The trouble with a standard D2 that I see is you can find negative easily enough, but the positive lead goes from battery to under bonnet fuse box before distribution and can't be accessed from under the vehicle to try and charge anything.
