Interesting question. Do they make a synthetic ATF?

I have not seen it myself not that I have gone looking for it>

    Yes it is ok.
You want to drain it all change filter then fill. Next year when you do it again you will get it even more pure.
While you are in there look for any sludge in the pan. If there is then this is your clutch packs begining to break up.

Is the automatic transmission cooler that pidly little round brush type radiator infront of the A/C condensor?

If so, is it easier to upgrade with a beefier unit?

Im a bit paranoid as there is no auto warning light on the dash on my poverty pack 1990 Vogue and dont want to cook the trans. The Vogue SE got the auto light tho. I would much rather have a auto light than a low lever wiper reservoir warning light

If the SE has the light then yours probably has the light and wiring. Get a sender and hook it all up.
Better still stick in a temp gauge.

My 1992 Vogue has a transmission temp warning light. Have a look down just behind the lower LH corner of the radiator , you will see a bulge on the cooler pipe with 2 wires from it. That is the sensor.
Join the two wires and you will see the light!!

P38a cooler fits a treat, about 2.5 times the size.

Search on here will yield a few threads about it fitted to D1's, the same applies to RRC.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
