    Ben,
Try giving them a few good sharp blows with a hammer and punch, then use your ring spanner. It's worked for me before.

Hammer blows (fast strike with a LIGHT hammer) using a punch from the side is the go. It's a handy trick taught to me by a guru or small motorcycle fastener removal. If that doesn't work try some hot/cold cycling with a small butane torch, but only if you can focus the heat just on the bolt.

I hope I don't have the same trouble when I take apart my RD56!

OK - finally managed the last few...

Tried hammer and punch - no joy

Tried heat as well - no joy

Bought new Sidchrome socket, as the other (KC tools long socket) was a bit rounded by now... The Sidchrome socket rounded off first try...

I then trimmed down the long socket to remove the rounded section, then belted the end of the socket with a hammer to mushroom it in slightly. Then heated the bolts as much as I dared (there is a plastic cage inside the locker), hammered the socket on (was now a very snug fit) - and hey presto!!!

Does anyone know if I can use SHCS to reassemble instead of the original bolts???

Hi Mike - thanks for the PM - however as AULRO was down I didn't get to read it until after I everything was sorted.

It would be great if you could explain your method for the benefit of myself and others - the PM was a bit cryptic???
