looks like Chinese on the label, same grey colour as I have seen on other Chinese manufactured motors where they paint everything including the starter and alternator.

Copies of Isuzus made in China have been talked about for a while now - they possibly could be OK but I personally don't have the resources, time or interest to undertake the experiment so I'll stick with the Isuzu factory stuff while it remains available.

The one in the ebay pic doesn't look like the 4BD1s we have here.

It does wear an "Isuzu" brand ...

Interesting to be aware of though

You do know the Chinese and Japanese use the same characters? I am not enough of a language expert to know the difference. Are you?

There is nothing on that motor to suggest it is anything other than a genuine Isuzu 4LB1 engine.

It doesn't look like a 4BD1 because it's not a 4BD1. It's an Isuzu 4LB1 which is well under half the size. 1.5 litre displacement.

The Chinese copies (licensed or otherwise) of 4BD1's and 4BG1's are very different to the Isuzu originals. You could never mistake one for the other.

    Hi,
Are all the prices for these county's about what i can expect to pay for one or are they all asking to much? I've been looking around for awhile and have been really struggling to find one for under 10k which i think is alittle steep 25+ year old car?

    Cheers,
    Matt

If you are patient, you will be able to find one - but don't expect it to be perfect. I looked for quite a while, and since I've had one there have been some really good ones come up for sale. Is everyone asking too much? Maybe, but it is all supply and demand I guess. FWIW I would be laughed off aurlo if I posted how much money it would take for me to let go of my 110

Seems about right to me, over in WA they are much harder to come by it seems so I couldn't pass up the chance when I got mine and like flagg now I have it you'd be hard pressed to get me to sell.

Right now I'd be waiting on an ex-army 110 to come up for sale after it's been round the country with a backpacker (betting it'll be in similar condition to a 400k km county)
