I bought my (new type) seal from ISUZU. Made by NOK:

    ISUZU PN: 1-09625402-0
    GM PN: 94050718
    NOK BHO652F
    "Seal: Oil, CR/SH"
F7C3 was also written on the packet in pen.

I don't know about you guys, but when I replace the main seal on my truck I normally involve at least a mate to give me a hand. We've done a few on other trucks, and have found the later or new seal to be far superior, than the older style. Changing a mainseal is not a job anyone wants to be doing once every six months, or, in my opinion every six years! So a couple of hundred bucks is peanuts. Now I know most Landy owners are as tight as fishes ar$es, but this kind of extra work for nothing is just plain stupid. The new seal does not wear the mainshaft, it will not cause grooving in the mainshaft like the old seal and will not position in the same place as the old seal, and therefore will not require replacement in six months. It must however, be installed correctly. Don't frig around, do the job once and do it right, then you can forget about the truck leaving marks everywhere.
