They behave like front wheel drive Viscous LSD Nissan Pulsars, with a trutrack in the front;especially with lots of Torque on tap and driven spiritedly.

My Disco1 will do that every time with the road tyres on. I had mine sideways on a round about coming off the highway once. Absolutely crapped myself as it was very unexpected and felt like it was going to roll over.

For the sake of scientific rigour, I went back to the same spot with everything unlocked and repeated. Heaps of wheel spin - obviously just one front wheel.

So (as much as I hate to say it ;) ) - it seems Matt (rovercare) is right.

So anyway - back on topic - if my 110 can chirp all 4 on bitumen when everything is locked, it could easily spin all 4 on loose gravel.

However the fact that 1 wheel spins a lot when everything is unlocked, suggests that Matt would be correct.

LOL! Jesus, I remember that. You were the only young bloke I knew who intentionally modified his car to make it even slower. Not to mention that "massive" accident you had while hooning around the back blocks a few years back. Possibly one of the slowest crashes on a main road in history :D

What's the front/rear weight balance on your 110 Ben?

My rangie is IIRC 1130 rear, 1170 front with half a tank.

Unlocked it will spin up a front or rear wheel in third on uphill damp corners depending on how you take the corner.
On gravel with CDL in it throws gravel from all four. How evenly I don't know, I don't have fr/rr difflocks or ways to monitor each wheels speed. But the tracks it leaves appear pretty even.

It appears something is lost in translation if people think I'm doing locked 4 wheel uphill burnouts on tarmac.

Care to repeat it without the arbs locked, but with CDL in Ben?
