Unlocked it will spin up a front or rear wheel in third on uphill damp corners depending on how you take the corner.
On gravel with CDL in it throws gravel from all four. How evenly I don't know, I don't have fr/rr difflocks or ways to monitor each wheels speed. But the tracks it leaves appear pretty even.

It appears something is lost in translation if people think I'm doing locked 4 wheel uphill burnouts on tarmac.

Care to repeat it without the arbs locked, but with CDL in Ben?

What exactly is it that can't be done?

You can NOT spin all 4 wheels without 3 diff's locked

You CAN drift all 4 wheels unlocked

And with 3 diffs locked, with a 351 windsor, in low range, all you get is a little spin and massive hook up

With a dirty little oiler....nothing:(

Will do next time it rains (if ever - over here :eek: ). However I would need a couple of observers to see if 2 wheels spin or all 4.

I will repeat all 3 variations next time I am on gravel as well.

Why? Don't you know how a diff works?
If anything spins with the CDL unlocked, but front diff locked, it will be both fronts. Chances of spinning all four are very slim.

A 300Tdi can very easily spin wheels on dry bitumen (at least mine could) my daughter demonstrated to me a number of times when she was learning to drive :p:p

I've never claimed to spin all four on tarmac. I can drift all four.
Figured out why your little oiler couldn't keep up yet?

Mine has more torque than a 351 windsor, others here have too. Best figure I could find for them was 346 ft-lb, that's 470Nm.
You can buy a 2.5 tdi navara with that much torque.
