    Hi Pete,

I'll ask you about the paint job cost when I see you on 29 May.

These are a great reproduction of the original Country Decals

    Reproduced from an original set.

Quality Vinyl decals cut from premium quality vinyl.

Let us know what colour style you would like.

    Blue tones or Beige/Tan tones.
I hope they say "County" and not "Country"!

Leave them off. or get huge blue UN stickers for the bonnet and roof just to make it different. I dont mind people calling mine a defender then raising their eyebrows when they hear the Isuzu kick into life it always turns heads. It's the sound not the looks. Though that freash paint does look very good.

    It's a lovely looking truck.

Personally I prefer it without, but I'm really liking the UN idea!

while we're about it, is it possible to remove the blue stripe without also removing the paint?

I have a pair of 110 front guards to replace the dented ones on my Defender, but there is the two stripes on the outer guard which don't match the Defender cab.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The decals are easy to get off. Use a heat gun on a low setting to warm up the vinyl and it should just peel away - just dont let it get too hot. Have tried a hair drier before and it worked too, just took a bit longer.

I found it almost impossible with sun faded/ hardened decals. Some parts would come off easily as you say, other sections just would not soften up.

I must have been lucky then! Did however remove some very old faded ones using this stuff called VAR-X which is a type of solvent that dissolves glues etc. In that case the stripes were pretty much all grey, so i suspect all that was left of the stripes was the glue.
