    Low water Gauge/alarm

    Hey guys,

I want to fit a Low water alarm Gauge to my 4bd1 county. Have any of you guys fit them to your vehicles?? If so what one have you fit??

Where does the contact go etc etc?

I wouldn't bother with a low water alarm - instead I'd fit a temperature sensor with alarm to the block instead. It will let you know if the engine is heating up more than usual for any reason so you're covered for more things(i.e. faulty pump or fan etc as well as water loss)

I have an "Engine Watchdog TM2" and it works well. That is to say, I can easily hear the alarm over the 4BD1 rumble. You can set the alarm threshold yourself. It's also simple to install, just bolt the sensor to the engine, install gauge in a cab and you're done. There are several other popular ooptions out there.

If I had to fault it, I'd say the shape / mounting method for the gauge could have been better - otherwise very happy with it.

Contact forum member Davy. He makes and sells them (engine saver). Top product. Covers both engine temp and fluid levels via 2 sensors (one on the head/block and the other in the cooling system.)

I've got one on my D1 that I've been happy with. I'm planning it to move to the County.
Where did you install the sensor Offender90?

I have one of these - very happy with it.

However, in hindsight I think I would instead buy a madman gauge which also measures EGTs, boost, & battery voltage.
