Busmans 82 Rangie with Isuzu 4BE1

Well my modified 82 Rangie build up has been completed.
Alot of time, money and stress has gone into this car.
Very happy with the performance and ability this car now has.
Just finished a photo shoot with 4wd Action, and mag will be out around August.
The 4BE1 in just plain fantastic, and very happy with its overall performance.
The old LT95 was recently overhauled, and is doing the job well.
The Toyota diff conversion has worked a treat, and after a bit of serious mods, the car is ready to do some serious offroading>
Now running 37 Sticky Treps !!

Go and get it dirty already will you, when is the first offroad test?
Should be a weapon with that combination.

Hey Eric,

Going to give it a good work at The Spring's in early May.
I have had it out at Scenic and a local spot for a test, and very pleased so far.
The Treps work really well, and good clearance.
A credit to Greg (Outcast Offroad) ability and workmanship.

I will be going to Coffs with you guys this year for sure.

im curious about those swivel ball spacers whats the go there? im interested to see the strength of them and load bearing strength of them...
nice looking rig would go nice offroad

Yes - where are the underbonnet pics???

I've considered it. But really it's a shame to butcher a classic and it gets me everywhere I actually need to drive.
Mainly that's access for mountainbiking, skiing, snowmobiling etc. If I want to actually get to the top of a mountain and I can't drive it, I can usually pedal there pretty easily. If it's too hard to pedal, I can walk.

At some stage I'll do some decent bumpers and sliders, but try to keep them looking factory from 10m away. I can't go bigger with rubber because I need to wrap snow-chains around them.

Next time you feel like an off-road challenge. Go bolt on a set of 29's.

I drove out of there, I just stopped to see how it looked.

That was a few years back. It still looks just as tidy, but the bonnet paint matches now and it has dark grey 5 spoke disco wheels.

I've been looking for a clean and tidy 92-94 with air suspension to do a body-swap. But in good condition they are rocking horse poo. Rust under the panels has taken most of them.

I'll pass on the 29's thanks. I have a salisbury. (I have tried 28/29" tyres in the past though).

I think a BL and some 7.50s or 285s would be perfect. In no way "butchered", and with the right offset rims you could still use chains.

Btw - a lot of RRC purists would already call it butchered
