Stage1 were 1.3xx :1. Both V8 and Isuzu are identical apart from bellhousings.
Steve
I get a bit of confusing information and probably some misunderstanding about the ACTUAL ratios in the LT95 box.
Previously I thought the Stage 1 and Range Rover had the same ratio (somewhere between 1.111 and 1.113:1) the 110 Isuzu Perentie has 0.996:1 and the 110 V8 has 1.135:1 now someone is telling me the Stage 1 V8 also has 1.135:1. My other understanding was that the stage 1 Isuzu was an easier drive but ran out of top.
So what ratios does the Stage 1 Isuzu and Stage 1 V8 actually have????
(BTW: I'm also still not certain what LT230 ratio sits behind a LT85 Isuzu)
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Diana I cannot remember the actual ratios but what I do remember is that the latest LT95 RRC were the highest (.9xx) along with the Isuzu engined LT95s. At the other end of the scale was the Stage 1 V8s having the lowest ratios (1.3???). In between was the 101 and other RRCs. I have no idea about the County V8 LT95 but I assume the same as the Stage 1 V8.

This hard to read doc may also be of assistance. You might have to save and zoom in.
Also found something that lists
109 (Stage 1)/110 (County) V8 1.336:1
101 1.174:1
RR 1.113:1
RR 1.230:1
Late RR 0.996:1
109/110 Diesel 0.996:1
Overdrive 0.782:1

Fairly certain the LT230 transfer on my Isuzu is 1.003:1

Every isuzu powered 4x4 landie I have ever seen has been fitted with 0.996 (4-speed) and 1.003 (5-speed).
There are reports of some 110s leaving the factory with 1.22:1 LT230s, but I have never seen one.
A mate of mine has a 1991 model isuzu 110 which also had a 1.003 before the PO replaced it with a disco 1.22 case.
I have swapped to a 1.21 Disco Q-case, however I run 33's, and I am contemplating swapping back to a 1.003.
For a 6x6 you may want to look at the perentie 6x6. I believe they run a 1.1(?) t-case AND 4.7:1 diffs.
Hi Ben
If I run the current 3.54 and a 1.211:1 ratio LT230 my final drive comes out to 4.287:1 so a little taller than the Perentie 6X6, so worth a trial and I can still play around with tyre sizes before changing diffs or ratios.
Still I have to confirm my diffs currently ARE 3.54:1!
BTW 3.54:1 over the Defender ratio 1.41:1 gives a final drive of 4.99:1 present in most Defenders

But the perentie 6x6 are ~5.3:1 overall in 4th. You won't be as heavy though, as you will be about 12" narrower.
If you are using a landrover 5 speed and LT230 I would be tempted to try 1.41. That will give you 5:1 in 4th, and if you have a 5th gear around 0.73:1 then your 5th gear will be about the same as an 4th in an LT95 isuzu 4x4 running 0.96:1 high range.
