See if you can peel them apart.

    I also bought this

What can you tell me about it?
Is it more suitable for my other Isuzu or as a remote turbo for the Chev 6.2 diesel in the 6x6 camper?

How to identify Garrett turbochargers - Concepts - Turbos - TurboMaster

Garrett don't give out specs on the variable vane turbos AFAIK. I will let others comment on suitability, as I haven't kept up with the VVTs.

Too small for the chev 6.2. Could work well on the Isuzu but we'd need a bit more information.

I can tell from the tag that it's a BMW 3 litre 6 cyl turbo on an application which delivered around 218hp.
GARRETT turbos for Bmw passenger cars and vans - Applications - TurboMaster

So flow wise it's a good match for the Isuzu. For boost pressure we'd need to know the max torque on that application and derive boost pressure from that.

These guys: Diesel Tuning Box for BMW X5 E53 3.0d 218PS / 160kW / 215bhp are showing 500Nm for that stock engine. Given it's a 3 litre then with no boost you'd expect around 210Nm. To get 500Nm means a density increase of around 2.5 times.
This suggests that turbo was producing boost in the high 20's with a good intercooler in the stock application.

Last question is fitment. Is the orientation of it going to work? Some VNT turbos cannot be rotated to a suitable angle to fit our engines.

My other isuzu is in a 2b FC so it will have to be a remote setup too as there is no room around the engine anywhere.
We will keep it for that then.
While we are on the subject, any ideas on a turbo for the 6.2?

None. This is our remote area camper. Just hoping for mild boost to get it up the hills easier.

Yep I will probably be swapping the steel one at the front with the new alloy one I have and just do the same with the steel plate...

In that case, don't boost it. It's no 4BD1.
