And to think, I was going to mount my turbo on the exhaust manifold!

Sorry, it just looks funny. There is a company in the US that make turbo kits for chevs, this particular company mounts their turbos about 6' from the exhaust manifolds under the vehicle where the mufflers normally are!

Looks like you have two air inlets, the inlet on the passenger side used to be the vactuator valve dump. It should be pointing down and have a rubber cover that looks sort of like a ducks bill.

You really don't need two inlets, maybe you could look at revising the air box and refit the vactuator valve.

Anyways, thanks for the pictures. Very cool/interesting

Just had another look, has you air box got 4 holes (inlets/outlets) in it? Some one must have been concerned with air flow.

Looks like a Mike Vine turbo setup, actually the phone number on the intake confirms it. Maybe take it to him and get him to have a look over it? He's in Brisbane.

Thanks guys for the info. The car is not on the road yet, although I have driven it on the road and it drove very well. Im fixing up a few things and hope to have it registered in a couple of weeks. Im going to drive it for a few months and then have a look at any upgrades. I think the turbo should be on the exhaust side so it reduces heat from having the exhaust run around the back of the block. Its also got a bonnet scoop which just forces air into the engine bay,so I think heat build up may have been a problem. Although it does look good I think.

    Cheers Chris.

Mike Vine's set up uses a T3 Garrett with small a/r and is mounted on the drive side. Bearman has a similar set up to you, also by mike vine. I've driven his 110 and it goes great.
