At the moment just an internal on the HP turbo. If and I mean IF this system seems to work I may investigate external wastegates. Keeping in mind I have only undertaken this as a bit of an exercise with a very low budget.

Thanks, Greg (owner and video maker) and I did a lot of background planning on that one. He got to do all the real work.

That's a toyota 3B. 3.4litre indirect injection.
It's an okay engine, but being indirect has a weaker head and lower efficiency than the Isuzu. This means it produces less power and torque for the same displacement and boost. Main bearings are from memory about 10mm smaller, so the bottom end is a little less robust too.
But if you are in Canada, it's one of the few diesels you can get.

The factory injection pump on them (similar to our Isuzu's but on the other side of the block, smaller pump elements and with a pneumatic governor) is only good for around 400Nm maxed out.
I keep trying to convince Greg to buy a Cummins 4BT A pump (similar size to our Isuzu pump, but on the same side of the block as the 3B ) and see if he can make it fit. They go for about $US100 as 4BT owners think they don't work on the road.
But so far he's been too busy.
