I was talking to Brad Pollard at KLR Automotive this morning. He mentioned they were now doing power steering and turbo upgrades to the Perenties. They have one in the workshop now.
If I can get over there, I'll get some pics.

No need for a kit for PAS.
All the parts are available "off the shelf", just not usually in the same place.
You need (1) a PAS box, (2) an isuzu PAS pump, (3) hoses and (4) a reservoir.
(1) PAS Box (taken from an email when I bought mine):
(2) Isuzu PAS pumpThanks for your enquiry,
We have a brand new [4-bolt] Genuine Power Steering Box in stock for your vehicle.
The price is $650.00 inc GST (not including freight)

Best option is from a wrecker, however some know how to charge! A pump from a 4BD1 or 6BD1 will fit. There are a couple of rebuild threads in the isuzu section [now attached], but they generally last a LONG time.

Pirtek or Enzed are the best option for these. You will need the box-end fittings - so a couple of old hoses from a wrecked defender...
(4) PAS reservoir
The best option is a disco 1 reservoir from a wrecker - $20
Note that these are much better than the county item and many of us have switched.
As for the turbo, there are about 10 turbo install threads on here, most with comprehensive parts lists. There are also a wide range of greatly improved turbo options since the 4BD1T was produced.
Perentie upgrade...
surely thats the equivelent of a monk claiming " I have achieved enlightenment, what next?"
if you want power steering you simply look up the RSV,RFSV, SC or 6x6 Rps's and lo all the parts are listed, theres even a landrover conversion chart available that give you pretty AYG-XXXX style numbers

Regrettably, Dave, not everyone here has your technical ability.
I certainly don't.

Is KLR doing the conversion for the military or for Australian Frontline Machinery?
