yes the 4BB1 (from memory) its the baby brother of the 4BD1. Ive seen 4 or 5 fitted to series rovers and derated at the bottom end to allow the gearbox a chance (they tend to eat first and second)
Has any one fitted a isuzu 3.1 to a land rover

Ah the 4bb1 is a 3.6 ltr, a 3.1 would be most likely a 4j series engine.

The 3.1 is a 4JG2. Indirect injection.
I'm sure it's been done plenty. But IMO it's not the best engine to fit. The 4JB1T or 4JH1T (3.0tdi, has an electronic pump but can probabaly be swapped) are your best bets in the Isuzu 4J range.
Any adapters for the 3.1 should fit all Isuzu 4J engines. Right up to the 4JJ1 commonrail.
