Surprisingly no, a few drips was all, didn't prime afterwards either, she did need 4 starts though to get air out of the lines

So I guess I'm back to the lift pump not doing its job properly?
Yes, probably true Dave. I had actually forgot about it until the last service when I rotated the spare oil filters I carry and found it tucked away in the locker. Hope I never have to use it but it's always there in case I do:DQuote:

Yes, unless your top section has an o-ring groove on the centre post like the one in the picture (hard to see).Quote:
