    New project

Hi everyone. New to the forum. Just drove my new project on the trailer down from up north. Thanks to the father in law for letting it go from sitting out in the yard doing nothing. Now begins the fun part. Thought I would show everyone the start. 84 110 with the 3.9l Isuzu needing a lot of love. Still started first go after putting a battery in though!

Hi Scott and welcome. I don't think you will be disappointed, the Isuzu 110 is a great vehicle and as you found out will start instantly after sitting dormant for ages. It won't take you long to get it in ship shape condition. What's it's story - looks to have a 130 back on it. Is it a 120 model? it looks like one, 4 or 5 speed box?
    Cheers......Brian

Thanks guys. Not sure about the back Brian, still very new to the Rovers. Is there anyway to tell? It has the 4 speed LT95, and the high low range knob is just under the front seat and not next to the gear stick. Haven't seen that before. Hoping to get hold of the workshop manual soon to help me along the way.

Easiest way to get the manuals is to on CD from the shop here. The isuzu one in particular has parts manual and engine manual.

That looks like a very rare HCPU modified body here in Australia. As Brian said- it may be a modified 130 rear body but I'm thinking its a genuine LWB HCPU (high capacity pickup) that has been modded. Is the VIN plate stating 110 or 120?

The plate doesn't specifically say but I ran it through VIN decoder and it gave me 110 model. It has coil springs and disc brakes all round with a Salisbury diff on the rear.

    Welcome to the forum mate!

Great to see an other build happening, and that looks like a perfect platform to start with!

Also I think the 120s also state 110 on the plate? as 110 was -at the time- referring to the the model name not wheel base?

    New project

If it's a 120 it will have a spliced and extended chassis just behind the cab like this:

They still say 110 on the grille support:

Yours looks in much better condition than mine.
