I have a pump sitting on the bench, will see if it has the spring in it or not to cross reference it (Sorry won't be selling it though)
Hi
Posting here in the hope looking for advice or comment/suggestions.
Been collecting bits for a PAS conversion on a stage 1 LR - get to the point of plugging in the Power Steering Pump and have realised it is missing it's Pressure Relief Valve and spring.
All it has is;
According to this diagram
I'm missing at least;
28: 8941297110 : Valve Ass : Relief
18: 5095860110 : Spring
and I'm not sure if
22: 8941461930 : Ferrule
is of any importance.
This pump is one where the outlet comes out the side and incorporates the Pressure Relief Valve.
I have lodged an online enquiry with Webster Trucks (isuzu agents in Tas) and plan on ringing a couple of other companies Monday. but I'm not confident as of yet if the bits will be available? It would be frustrating to have to buy another pump.
If anybody knows alternate more recent part numbers, or has the bits or has dealt with this issue I would be interested.
I believe that without this - the pump would never build pressure and would be able to permanently bypass?
Thanks
Adrian

Heard back from the Isuzu Dealers. No surprises, the part isn't available separately from them supplying a pump.

your part 28 + 18 appear to still be inside the pump body.

Hi, there is a pin in there but it doesn't appear to want to come out and nothing is moving. I've hauled on it (carefully). I guess I was expecting the pressure relief valve would slide out with a spring behind it once I took the main nut off. Maybe it's seized. Given that the pin wouldn't/doesn't move I had thought the pressure relief valve and Spring must slide over the top of the pin. The pin, visible in the photo is quite long.
Thanks, Adrian
its a bugger to get out. it will wear a lip into the housing and sit in it.
try pushing it inwards if it moves and springs back its good.
the flow from the relief goes back to the inlet of the pump.
the output comes back out the fitting you have removed.
