Am I missing something or is the combo LT95 / 4 speed not the way to go behind Isuzus
Maybe ask Rijidij

Customer wants 5 speed. There are other options other than tge lt95 these days, which is still a good option thougg
Sort of on the subject.
Will an ex Army LT95/Isuzu Bell housing bolt up to a Civvy Isuzu 4BD1 NPR Flywheel Housing?
From a distance it looks as if the Army had their own Flywheel housing as the bolt pattern looks different.
If not can a civvy (Say ex Rangie) LT95 bellhousing be swapped over for a Army (6x6) LT95 bellhousing. And Vice versa.
The primary shafts look the same length.
Keith
No and Yes Keith, the landrover flywheel housing is a totally different offset and bolt pattern to the Isuzu truck one
You can change the bellhousings over to suit the V8 or Isuzu. You are right the input shafts are all the same except for the 101 FC LT95 which has a short input shaft and bellhousing.

Thanks Brian. I thought you would know.
25 odd years ago I put an ex Rangie LT95 behind an NPR 4BD1 with an adapter.( I forget whose it was now). Into my 2A Forward Control.
This LT95 is getting a bit noisy so I thought I would swap it for one of those 6x6 ones I bought at the auctions. It has the TRB T,box whereas the one I have in now does not.
So I will have to swap the Army bellhousing for the Rangie one thats on there now and all should be good.
Well perhaps, as I dont know whats wrong with the ex Army one but thought I would put it in and see.
Keith
Mate, I would be checking that ex army box out before you put it in the vehicle. All used boxes auctioned were removed for a reason. Every one I have pulled apart have had some problem, whether it be worn synchros, bent lock tabs on the input shaft bearings or transfer case problems.

The LT95 is a pretty rough box and has a bit of a long gap from third to fourth. The five speeds don't have the problem.
