Thread: Gearbox Type Confusion

So, would the LT85 from a V8 be interchangeable with tone out of an Isuzu LT85, my forum research shows that the transfer case gearing is different ?

Different bell housings, maybe a different thrust length on the clutch throwout as well, there is on the 4 speed between Rangies, Counties etc, otherwise there would be no problem. The ratio difference would be in the LT230, not the gearbox an easy fix ( if needed) . I have 70% of a LT85 here somewhere, but no transfer ( I think).
