    Isuzu intercooler

    Hey guys

Thought I would stick this in here first before the market section.

Top mount intercooler with bracket to bolt to intake manifold and bonnet scoop $120 + freight. No hoses as they were reused to suit another project.

All as per photo. ( was in a RRC)

one would need a bonnet scoop to make it worthwhile correct?

It comes with a scoop Similar to GU nissan type.

Changing to a bigger top mount to help with pushing the 35"' tyres etc.

Yep made them a few years ago. Just standard height got the tube bent up at a local tube benders and machined up the bottom plate. Welded them up and powder coated them.

Why dont you come down to Emu Creek for a hard run in April with us. I,ll even let you buy me a tube of ''Knead It''

I've hear from the boys at KLR that an intercooler did F*#@ all on the 4BD1-T, They did mention that they tried it on the non waste gated turbo version, but alas this is what I have.

    Your opinion?

My water to air IC knocks between 25 and 35 degrees off the intake temps.

Any engine will perform better if you can reduce the intake temp of the air. I know the KLR boys very well and their Isuzu rangies are intercooled. Funny that.

Isuzu even intercooled the 4BD2 themselves.
If you're running under 10psi boost then it's a take it or leave it thing. But who runs less than 10psi boost?

The factory turbo has two models, mines the model without the wastegate. Havn't tested mine personaly but a mate that has the same set up had it run up on the dyno, and boost peaked at around 8 psi.
I wouldn't mind more but don't want to sacrifice reliability.
