i have a switch now. that will cut power to the fuse for the onoff thingy in the plastic back that makes a noise thing. water crossings\ theft protection. not that i think the county will get stolen for being a county but UHF rubber camping kit fridge etc etc.
isuzubob how did you get a photo from down there? you have your guards off or just a mini cam?
whats the thingy with the blue cable. im jealous because i doint have a thingy but then i prefer red!
The fuse up in the dash was problem with mine.Easy fix with by-pass wire to alternator.Sorted for carton at auto leccy.

I had this problem...the contacts in the relay that controls the fuel cut off motor were dirty. The relay is often located screwed on the clutch pedal frame inside the engine bay. I simply pried open the relay and cleaned the contacts.
In line fuse up inside where it enters firewall....so on dash side...have to basically pull dash aprt to get to it.

I just fitted a manual pull type knob, similar to a choke cable, and ditched the bagged actuator. I didn't want to risk it shorting out during a water crossing, which could be a real drama if it held the fuel in the cutoff position!:eek:.
Sounds like the choke / hand throttle type cable set up is the most fail safe method.
No fuses , no electrics , no actuators :)
KISS principle.
Any idea of a part number for the cable and handle.
I saw one in a County just to the top RHS of the fuse box , in the firewall.
It was a round pull out to stop knob and locked in the out or off position with a twist action to release or start
