Thread: Which turbo can I get away with

    I know its been talked about in this thread but I just wanted to back up Dougal and bush65 by saying I have pushed my compound turbo'd 4bd1t to well over 60psi (estimated 80psi). I am running 2 holset turbos and HY35 and HX52, my injection pump puts out 370cc of fuel but I could send it back to the shop for and easy 850cc of fuel out of the little bosch A pump. These pumps will put out more than enough fuel for 1000 rear wheel horsepower if you know what to do to them. I have seen 5000rpm a couple of times with my engine and been to 4500rpm's many times with no problems at all. The engine is basicly stock with some very stiff valve springs from a small block chevy 350 but the rest of the internals are stock and so far no problems.

    It is a very impressive setup you have there.

    The only things I do not like about the HY35 is it's physical size and it's lack of availability in my area.

    Most on U.S ebay will not ship internationally

    I'm looking at brake upgrades ATM so I will have the ability to stop once a turbo is installed.
