That's how I found the mini one. I called into every garage on the way home from an aborted ski trip.

My one is ~22mm inside. I know because I used a spring seat from a suspension fork in my toolbox to plug the other end and get 300km home.
It was snowing heavily for 100km of that.

I might go and pick up a spare from a Brisbane Isuzu parts supplier (Zenith). They are just up the road from where I work. I checked for the price if I bought 10 units, it is $12.21 incl GST. Otherwise it is $13.53 incl GST. Its not a huge saving.

If any one is interested let me know. I still have the busted one so can go to the post office to check postage cost. However, looks like if I get 10 parcel satchels it will be $5.50 each within Australia. Total cost will be $17-70 delivered.

I can get if anyone wants a spare let me know. Ill go pick them up when I get final numbers.

It all depends what the 3 identifying suffix letters after 4BD1 are for your engine. If it's a factory built 110 4BD1 then it'll be a 4BD1 RBG and you need to specify this to the parts dept. The industrial engine parts book my local Isuzu dealer has colums across the top with all different combinations of engine suffixes - it's amazing how many vaients of the 4BD1 were produced, some found there way into Land Rovers, some into Hitachi forklifts, obviously the Isuzu trucks and also the marine derivatives, etc. All sorts of things are affected like thermostat housing, bypass hose, fuel filters, oil filter housing, and I would have though other things like cam, and maybe injection pump?

These last 3 letters aren't stamped anywhere on the engine itself, but can be determined from the engine number by Isuzu, or just knowing that the 'RBG' is what was supplied to LR.

Anyway, if your's is a genuine factory Isuzu County the part number should be the same as mine: 8941462970, cost me $13.27 + GST and a bit of air freight to get it over to WA.

    Hope this helps,

    Jon
My thanks to all who responded incl isuzubob, D3Jon, Dougal - I now can confirm the above p/n 8941462970 and the current over-the-counter cost here is $12.56 + F&H

I have posted this part no (& the GM equivalent) in the parts refs sticky & I am going to carry a spare with my spare water pump and main hoses.
