What model Countys had LT95 gearboxs?

I have a 83 series 3 Isuzu, and I wish to buy a 85-87 one to get coil shocks, and my body needs work.
How can I tell what non Isuzu models had the LT95 box?

LT95 was changed to LT85 5 speed at the end of 1985.
A 95-97 Defender is not a County!!!! and will have a 300Tdi with R380 box

So just to confirm, the LT77 is no good with the Isuzu?
So I have to find an early 85 County to get the LT95 and coil springs?

Whoops, meant to write 85-7. I'm used to talking about my 90s Disco. I've fixed it now. Sorry.

get any county and swap your motor and box in, if your box is stuffed then just get another lt95 and swap over the bellhousing and bits needed.

IMHO, the LT77 is unsuitable - these would be asking for trouble.

The R380 has beefed up bearings and gear strength from the LT77, but early ones have a design weakness with the main shaft. Later R380's could be stronger than an LT85 (and they are a nicer box to drive).

The R380 can be used with an Isuzu LT85 bell housing (needs some modification).

Although the change date from the LT95 is 1985, my 1986 (factory Isuzu) 110 has an LT95. I suspect the change was earlier for V8s than Isuzus.
