holy ****, I feel as if I am about to be hunted down and linched.
On this forum some where there is a guy who put a toyota engine in is rover, is he still alive.
I just like moding and playing with the car, all cars can be improved even rovers, look at JC's rangie it is quite modified now and it is an improvement over standard.
yeah mate I was not really up set just taking the ****.![]()
I have always thought the Toyota 14BT or 15BT would be good engines for a Land Rover.
I have seen a couple of Canadian 101s with toyota 3B(T) engines, toyota 5 speeds and t-cases. The 3B is the older IDI version of the 13B(T).
They fitted and went quite well, and the owners were happy.
I also knew someone who had a holden 202, and toyota 5spd box and t-case in his series 3. It went well, but he copped a heap of flak from other landie owners for that drive train.
I'm long over Land Rover drive trains and don't care what landie owners think of that.
I am happy with my engine but the lt95 they are a bit truck like, it would be good to have a nicer box. bush65 I really like nissan running gear so bloody strong, I could own a patrol if I didn't have the county, but I do prefer the vision from the drivers seat in the rover over the nissan.
i was jokeing.
I always wondered if fitting electric injectors and building / buying a box to run it all? I know its getting away from the safety of the mechanical thing, just wondered if there were any advantages especially with turboing.
i posted some where that the ford ranger 3ltr turbo could be the go, but now i recal the fule consuption and it wasnt that good
