    Perentie oil pressure light nightmare

I've posted this in Remlr technical but posted here too, to cast a wider net, as it were!

A couple of weeks ago i sunk the truck in a river and since then I've had an oil light that alternately wont come on with the ignition, or comes on but wont go off when running!
Oil pressure is ok, the oil pressure switch on the side of the block and the one to the rear of the filter mount (the one with 2 wires) are working fine, the switch to the front of the filter mount (1 wire) is not connected.
There are 2 relays behind the fuse panel that are related to the warning lights, they are both okay.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the perentie, particularly of the oil pressure light circuit they could post or email to me, or a suggestion of what could be the problem?

Checked relay sockets, and changed the relays, they also feed to charge, handbrake and difflock lights and they are working okay
    connections to switches are fine.

check the earth and power feed lines into the fuse panel as well as physically removing the fuses cleaning the contacts and then inserting new fuses that have had a smear of petroleum jelly or contact grease wiped on them.

(ive got the diagrams but dont have an A3 scanner)

I suppose you do know that the reversing light is controlled by the oil pressure sender? The problem could be in that circuit.

Different circut theres 2 oil pressure sensors, one does the oil light stuff the other handles the reverse lights. The one on the block does the reverse lights.

    no hes not try it...

put it in reverse with the engine running and with the tcase in nuetral and check the reverse lights. Then turn the engine off and turn the ignition back on and check again.

ITs also supposed to control the headlights so you cant turn the headlights on past parkers without the engine running but the ADF didnt want that and made LR aust fit a little bit of wire instead of a relay and charged them a motza to have it done on vehicles already recieved.

that must be controlled by the pressure switch on the filter housing, the one with two wires conected to it.
I disconected that and checked it but couldn't work out where it connected to.
One of the relay sockets behind the fuse box cover had a jumper wire instead of a relay, and there is another relay socket behind the instrument panel that is wired to the oil light but has no relay fitted.
my reverse lights work with the engine stopped so maybe I plugged the pressure switch in wrong when I built the vehicle back in '89.
