I think the Jaguar C Type is one of the most beautiful cars created
Each "upgrade" diminished the original beauty.

I recall when the XR Falcon was released, it was toted as 'Mustang bred'. In reality the Mustang was Falcon bred, being built on an existing but shortened Falcon platform. All the running gear and much of the hardware was straight out of the Falcon.

The V8 in the Mustang was an option, stock entry model Mustangs were originally 200 CID three speed.
I think Mustang and sports car is drawing a long bow. The Mustang was more of an image car.

My father had one of those.
Not quite the same condition,i will have to dig out a pic.
He always said selling it was one of the stupidest things he ever did.
His brother also had one of the first E types.

The only reason i say the mustang was a sports car is because a episode of top gear was showing some early mustang adverts in which they were calling it a sports car.

My dream car too could only afford the framed picture that's hanging in the hall though

This chap's a bit of a legend, had the pleasure of sitting in one of his creations at a Bentley Show in the uk. The detailing is superb.
