Even more concerning (and I may start to sound like a conspiracy theorist). What were the betting odds on "ball tampering on the 3rd day of the 3rd test"? Surely with all the cameras they should just know they were guaranteed to be caught?

When my wife heard about it she assumed it was a jail-able offense and wants them to go down for it. A life time ban should be the minimum for all of them involved, only way to clean it up and restore some dignity.

Add to this, that if you were hoping to get away with something like this, given all the camera coverage, why the hell would you use bright yellow tape when you're wearing whites???

If CA doesn't sack them all for the tampering offence, they should sack them all for stupidity, instead!!!!

After thinking about this, I think Bancroft should cop the usual tampering penalty, Smith should be sacked as captain for causing illegal action by his team and Warner should be sacked as vice captain because of repeatedly proving he's a dickhead.

What absolute bollocks. All the wailing and gnashing of teeth are purely because they got caught in a very amateurish effort to gain advantage. Australia has had a "win at all cost' attitude for many years and the whole country loves a winner.
Sportsmanship doesn't come into it, there's no prizes for second place is the normal attitude.
And as for those tossers in parliament expressing disgust....... they've got to be joking.

So they got caught doing what every team has been doing for ever. Have they reduced themselves to the level of the Poms, Boers, and Curry Burglars who have all been caught at this before? Who cares. It is only cricket.
