Praise the Lord someone who mentions Lamborghini but doesn't use the word Countach.

    The Espada:

    Sorry it's a beige one,
Here's the **** end of a white one:

Me, I like the Lambo Miura :

and it opens up for easy access to all the bits:
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Thanks Vlad, you're good. Never seen those bumpers before (beige), must be a later Calif spec.

White one is nice, tail lights are the same as a FIAT 124 from the late sixties, methinks..

Countach: one of my kids pointed out a while ago that the boot releases on the Lambo are the same as the ones on the X1/9. Cute piece of shiny leverage which hides below the B pillar. Parts bin Italy....

    cheers, GQ

Mind you, most holdens are less australian that many thing. Even the commodore started off as an opel.

Mate Holden's are pretty Oz. The first Commodore may have started as an Opel but the chassis was stretched and widened (I believe) to make it into a car that would satisfy Aussie buyers. Since then GMH has shown that (as does the local arm of Ford) they have engineers the equal of anywhere in the world, and better than most. This is seen in the overseas success of upmarket Commodore derivatives being sold in the Middle East and until recently the Monaro being sold as both a Chevrolet and a Vauxhall. So even though I don;t own any Holdens and probably never will I can at least give credit where credit is due. :P

I said most holdens, I wasn't picking on the commodore particularly, just an example . Let's look at the other products past and present.

    Jackaroo - Isuzu
    Vectra - Vauxhall
    Barina current - Dawoo
    Previous barina - Opel
    Rodeo - Isuzu

i'm sure that there is a few more, but the commodore is now pretty aussie, i'll give you that.

or Ford Laser = Mazda 626
or Honda Integra = Rover 416
or Mazda Tribute = Ford Escape
    Rover 800 = Honda Legend
    Ford Telstar = Mazda 626 (?)
    Mazda 121 = Ford Fiesta
Ford Probe = (based on) Mazda MX6

Badge engineering has been going on for years and there's no reason this will ever change.

Let's just HOPE the same doesn;t happen with say the new LR Defender and Ford Bronco as was once mooted.
